  • By the way, what was your dream as a kid ?

Thanks for your visits, readings and postings
Dating back to 1962, mine was to be a "Boeing Driver" hinting a 707 Captain since
the three hauler was just starting its test flights
the 707 was the only civilian Boeing product reaching distant Africa
and so in popular view , a Boeing hence meant a 707 as the manufacturer's name was used as a generic for a big jetliner (too bad for Douglas !!!)
Off course most of my classmates did not agree as their dreams as flyers hit the Mach2.2 Mirage III single engine&seat interceptor or to a lesser extent the bigger two engined two seater Mirage IV mid weight bomber .
Associated dreams were for having a lot of money and drive the neighboor's same big Chevy Impala '60....
Off course, none were fullfilled as just to recall one ; Maths and I were not the best friends
    Now how about yours,
    Regards
    Alain

When I was about 9, it was to go on a big holiday with my parents and brother to Los Angeles to visit relatives and specifically my aunt (late of Grand Terrace, Calif. 2002 ). Hasn't happened yet, so I've decided when I graduate from university and have worked for 1 year I'll pay for them to go with me. At least, some of the dreams do come true!!!

Hello, i had to dream to be a Cricket player(i used to live in Pakistan) when i was young. I used to play in the backyard of our house. Now thats changed, since i moved to the USA. I was 8 when i came here,i didn't know anything about airplanes in Pakistan. When i came here i started to learn about them. And they seemed very interesting to me. So now my dream is to be a PILOT.

My dream was to become a Commercial Pilot (nothing bout Military or that things, just the big boys).

It still is, and I will become one, takes what it takes.

My dream is to become an Eagle Driver and fly F-15C models for the United States Air Force. That's what my dream was two years ago and still is today. But by the time I get through with OTS and UPT, I'll probably be calling myself a Raptor Driver, instead :P :P

Err... good luck even getting off the ground with the way things are today, kid...

My dreams as a kid varied. First I wanted to start a company which took over every other large company (stores, airlines, restauraunts, etc.). I am thinking about becoming a commercial pilot now, though, but then I will have to start all over again, and it will be hard, time-consuming, and expensive.

When I was really young, I wanted to take up smoking and be a trashman so I could hang off the end of the trashtruck. :P

When I was a kid.. I wanted to be a concorde pilot.. I was 5.. shows ya how much I knew . As I've been flying (as a pax) since I was 5 months old and my gpa was a B-17 Navigator in ww2 for the USAAF. It's been in my blood. just a matter of a month or two before I'll be "captain" well. a Private pilot.. but I'll make my title Captain for hte hell of it

My dream when I was small was to work at a bank because I thought they got to keep unlimited amounts of money...wrong. Now I actually want to be a Customer Service Agent.
