Dating back to 1962, mine was to be a "Boeing Driver" hinting a 707 Captain since
the three hauler was just starting its test flights
the 707 was the only civilian Boeing product reaching distant Africa
and so in popular view , a Boeing hence meant a 707 as the manufacturer's name was used as a generic for a big jetliner (too bad for Douglas !!!)
Off course most of my classmates did not agree as their dreams as flyers hit the Mach2.2 Mirage III single engine&seat interceptor or to a lesser extent the bigger two engined two seater Mirage IV mid weight bomber .
Associated dreams were for having a lot of money and drive the neighboor's same big Chevy Impala '60....
Off course, none were fullfilled as just to recall one ; Maths and I were not the best friends
