YESSS! Jeff, I noticed that too in the civil aviation discussion here which is why I rarely view it on jp.net since I read them on airliners.net.

I'm just the opposite, I used to post a lot on a.net under the name of dragogoalie, but the people there kinda pissed me off with the way they decided to run things, so I hopped on the raft and floated on over to here

Don't think so. I think because people have to pay for A.net when they want to join the forum now, they use JP.net to tell others theit opinnion.

I try to avoid most of their forum threads like the plague, especially with comments such as "IMHO the Captain is the final authority onboard the aircraft. He/she can overrule the company policies/regulations at his/her discretion." I can't believe people pay for that tripe (no offence Jeff ).

Is $5 bucks really that hard to part with? How many are going to pay when Chris implements it here?

I am. It get's really annoying whenever I see a thread where somebody starts off by saying "I saw this on a.net and wanted to bring it here". Nobody cares where the hell the idea for the thread came from. If they want to speak an opinion to an a.net thread it should be done at a.net, and not here. It's probably because all thier mommies wouldn't pay the $25 fee for thier kids to get a screen name at the a.net forums

                      This applies to me too:

This forum is for all the aviation-lovers who are too cheap to pay for a.net, but want to get their opinions out there

Hint: pop-up blocker (Google toolbar in IE, Mozilla Firebird has a built-in one by default)

It's not the pop-ups, I have a blocker. It's the animated balloon thingie you get sometimes when you click on a picture.
