Yes it's funny, I have seen it lots of time.
According to a friend working with Peugeot motors, the ad has been shot on location in India, with reals Hindustan Ambassador sedans.
The guy is longing for the (successful in Europe) Peugeot 206, but it's not avialable locally, so ....
Another ad drives to somewhere in old Havana late in the evening, parked in a pretty well deserted street, an old battered Simca 1300 sedan hears a party of tourists and desperately tries to attract them by turning itself into a paint battered Peugeot 206, the sollicited tourist just pass by, and the car rebecomes this old Simca, under the look of the blasé owner standing on his flat balcony, a few feet above.

What I never understood about that advert is why he also converts the car to left-hand-drive.

That's a great commercial. The person that thought up that is quite clever.

To have a closer watch on the nice ladies who conclude the commercial, should he would have left the steering on the right, what he sould have seen would fellow and probably jealous motorists driving the opposite way.
