This is sad. I was working at the race track when this happened on sunday. Weird thing was, the announcers never mentioned anything about a fatality, they just said the race was now on delay and stopped talking.
I was working at a Ticket Gate so I listened in with the Police man who was there and got the entire scoop as it unfolded.
Everyone was in disbelief... It was hard to act in a cheery mood ("Thanks for Coming to Daytona International Speedway") as the people left through the gates.
