Screwed up

Hello

Is anyone able to tell me how i can get the horizontal bar at the top of my screen back to the bottom, I clicked it in a place accidently which made it fly up to the top, and ive clicked it over and over, just trying to get it moving but it wont

any suggestions?

Right click on the menu bar, and un-check lock taskbar.

Can't you just click and drag it to the bottom of the screen? You might have to enable the option to move the taskbar by right-clicking on the task bar and selecting properties, and then clicking the appropriate box:

i have windows 98 is i dont have that option to enable moving. and also i dont think i have the un-check lock taskbar option in the menu bar



and i definately cant simply drag it back down

Go to properties when you right-click the toolbar. See if there is a lock toolbar option and make sure there is no check. If there is no check in the box, you are suppose to be able to drag the toolbar to the side you want it on.

In Win 98 all you have to do is left click on the start bar and drag it to the bottom of the screen. I even fired up my old 98 machine just to be sure.

Cheers everyone for all your help, specially Freightdogg , the left clicking on the start bar and draging worked a treat! Now its all back to normal.

if i had the mouse at the top of the screen, the arrow wouldent change to that drag symbol, otherwise i would have dragged it straight down, i didn.t realise you could still drag it down, even with the arrow still there and just by holding left button

I see. I think the person who suggested u drag it down assumed that you knew that.
