I am not sure, but I believe Switzerland, Japan and maybe Germany are in the top 10.

First of all, you can't get exact number. It will also be an average which means the indication can be false as the income distribution might not be as equally as compared to other country and due to other job related and income figures.

Secondly, you really need to consider the purchasing power parity and the cost of living. If in Japan e.g. lets say a meat packer earns $3000/month and with that he can afford to buy items worth $1300/month and at the same time, a US meat packer makes 1500/month and can buy 1300 worth of items, than, you see, it balances out.

Adding to aic1985's post, a typical British salary is for instance higher than in France, but sadly almost everything is expensive at best.
