Bent Prop Tips

I don't know if they'd be worth the hassle of people constantly asking if you've had a prop strike.

Same theory as winglets and raked wingtips. A prop is just a spinning airfoil so it suffers from induced drag from tip vortices as well. Due to high rotational velocities the airflow in the tip voticies can approach or even break the speed of sound causing horrendous noise and prop strain (Big engine Cessnas at full power). Reducing tip vortices reduces drag (improved efficiency), noise and wear.

Bent Prop Tips
I was looking through my pics and noticed a couple of shots of twins with some bent prop tips.
