  • Crew base question

If an airline has a domocile at an airport, let's say JFK, and an airline has non-hub routes from another nearby airport, say LGA, do pilots from JFK flie the LGA routes as well?

For example, Jetblue has a domicile at JFK. But they also have service from EWR, SWF, and LGA to places (all in Florida) other than FLL (another crewbase). Who flies those routes?
Another example would be CO. They fly LGA-AUA.

At Delta we do not have airport specific crews, but City crews...our NYC based crews fly from JFK/LGA and EWR...LAX based crews fly LAX and SNA...etc...

I've wondered about that too. Say you are a UA 737 pilot based at SFO. Would you also be able to fly out of OAK or SJC?

For example Air Canada has A333/343 bases in YYZ and YVR, however we operate the aircraft out of Canada from YVR, YYC, YYZ and YUL. Crew d/h to their flights x YYC and YUL.
