    • Nope, neither Donald nor John K. made this aircraft. But you`re in the right country of manufacture....

I can't image that it would be as simple as being a "Norseman". They were built in Canada in any event and used quite a bit in Canada too.

The bits and pieces don't match your image either. But I'll throw it out there anyways. Norseman is here: http://pweb1.mts.net/~donmag/Overview.htm

        • Terry, your thinking is almost right, but it led you down the wrong path...

The mystery aircraft is low wing, the tarpaulin is covering an open cockpit. There were also variants with the cockpit enclosed.

The aircraft type name has ties in the state of New York.

            • Chris got it, it`s a PT19A Cornell.

The Toronto reference is to Island Airport Toronto, where Norwegian pilots were trained during WWII - The camp was named "Little Norway", and the type was the aircraft of choice.

The N.Y State tie is of course to the Cornell University.

              Here`s the full picture:

              Here she is uncovered: LN-BIF

              Chris has control.

                    Your go Alain.

                      • Alain,

To make things a little harder, I suggest you don't have the name of the aircraft in the image filename.

                              • Maybe we should get Alain to put up another pic. I noticed the filename error after Twr75 pointed it out but decided not to make the obvious post "Identifying" it !
If it 'ain't broken........ Don't try to mend it !
