  • Thanks. Must admit I've never come across the SM-92 before but, fortunately, google has

    Quite a good one to choose actually, the engine is shared by several aircraft so not as easy as it first appeared!

    The next one;

                  • Not a Convair 580 (or any other Convair ac), sorry.

                    Clue: This aircraft had a very quick development period. (I.e. the time from the start of design work to first flight was very short).

                    • Clue: The aircraft was designed & built by an aviation college as a prospective airliner design.

                        • It was built in a country far to the east of where the ones in Alains suggestions were built. If you'd been to the capital of that country you'd get it in 1.....

                            Ok Richard, CASAs were built in Spain, far to the east of spain could be everything from Russia to China to Japan etc.
                            A quick Google search with "moscow aviation college", "tokio aviation college" didn't work, but "beijing aviation college" did work:

                            So, is it a Beijing Aviation College Beijing-1?
