I must agree that not all aircraft hailing from English drawing boards have been models of beauty, but the English are quite innocent when it comes to this particular aircraft. The designer in quesion did mend his ways, and went on to produce some aircraft that to my eye were quite comely.

At first I was googling Fokker, mostly because the uniforms the people seemed to be appropriate to that part of the world. One of the links came up with the Koolhoven website and it was a pure coincidence that the Sikorksy picture that you used was there.

Once I realized that those panels is on an engine nacelle I started looking at turboprops where the nacelle is both above and below the leading edge. I found it after looking at the ATP and a few others.....
