    To be fair - the museum has only just very recently moved to an off-airport location, but still within a half mile of the runway end.

    The current name of the museum is the same as was the name of the airshow.

    The first aircraft produced by the one aerospace manufacturer here to be used by the military was adopted by the US in 1938...

    It doesn't really fit but worth a mention is Plant 42, Palmdale, S California. Home of the legendary Skunk Works.
