Nope, not Lubeck.
Let's reprise the clues....
German,
An island airport,
2 runways, 1 grass, one asphalt,
Serviced by 5 seasonal airlines,
Its name sounds like a fishy...place. One word name but note the break in the clue !
...and it's obviously close to the border with another country because that other country is where the nearest large town is. In fact, that town is on the same island. If it 'ain't broken........ Don't try to mend it !

So....let's try Pulkovo Airport. The airline would have been Pulkovo Airlines now known as Rossiya ?

Opened in the early 1930's as a grass strip, now has one asphalt runway of just over 800 metres.
Two flying clubs on site, the name of one of which hints at a different form of transport.
I started to learn to fly here.....many years ago !
You can learn to fly helicopters here ..... but not in an R22.If it 'ain't broken........ Don't try to mend it !
