Opened in the early 1930's as a grass strip, now has one asphalt runway of just over 800 metres.
Two flying clubs on site, the name of one of which hints at a different form of transport.
I started to learn to fly here.....many years ago !
You can learn to fly helicopters here ..... but not in an R22.
