PS. Don't EVER buy a Saudi Arabian ticket from the airline. They don't allow (or certainly didn't when I worked out there) discounting on their flights booked through the airline. Tickets booked in-kingdom on ANY airline had to be sold at the full price.
We did have a little trick to use by faxing Air France in Paris and booking a cheaper fare with them but getting them to send the tickets ( no online tickets then ) to us with the full fare shown in Saudi Riyals.

The Saudis got wind of that though and told Air France to stop doing this or risk losing all Saudi landing rights. When you think of the custom during the Hajj pilgrimage they weren't about to screw up their landing rights so bang went cheaper fares.

Not everyone knows how to find the aircraft type for a flight Joe.

let's recap...

and they are the cheapest for SV331, leaving on the 10th, arriving ALY at 1900 ( so I'll give you the flight time of 2 hr 25 mins )

So, we know that the flight leaves Jeddah for Alexandria ( Egypt ).
We now know it's Saudi Arabian airlines flight SV331.
We also know that I used ebookers.com for the flight.

So....Go to www.ebookers.com

Find the flight by first selecting "one way trip"

Put in Jeddah as the departure point, Alexandria as the destination.

Select 10.01.2010 as the flight date.

Select Search Flights.

You'll see the flight number. Click on it for some useful information !!!

Nice and warm in Alexandria....but too many camels for my liking.

So, it's the 12th January now and we're off to Cyprus...Larnaca to be precise.

There are some specific requirements for this journey....

1. I don't want to fly direct.

2. I don't want to use the same airlines.

3. I do want the shortest travelling time.

OK...I'll give you that one. You could also have gone Egyptair 8120/Aegean 900.

I think I'm going to have to slow down your thought processes so....It's off to the beach and pool for a day or two, some Keo beer and Metaxa brandy. I recommend taking a taxi to Paphos and booking into the Alexandra Palace Hotel. You never know, Paul might catch up with us.

And a tip for future trips. Make sure you take VERY careful note of intermediate (i.e. between-flight) instructions from now on.
