OK then. I am going for a bit cryptic at first. Either it will be a very quick one, or a very drawn out one.

Sir The Havilland will be spinning in his grave if he sees his office building.

    • Hatfield?

      Cheers,

        Cheers,
That really would have been too obvious. Sorry, it's not Hatfield. I'll narrow it down a bit more. It ain't in the UK.

No, it's in continental Europe. No The Havilland planes have ever been build/assembled here, nor any mayor or minor components (that I know of). Stop looking for obvious De Havilland connections.

Use google, not google maps! Once you think you have found the right spot in Google, you could use Google streetview to confirm. And, again, for once de spelling police is welcome!

It's close to Germany. And you are very close by identifying "De". But what does it have to do with The Havilland?

                            • The only other reference I can find concerning THE Havilland is this...

The TSCC office is located near Eindhoven Airport in an office building named The Havilland Building.

                              So...let's try Eindhoven Airport.

                                Bingo!

You mentioned earlier that De is German. Actually, it isn't. A German would never use De, instead they use Der, Den, Dem and a few other three letter variations (Das, Die...). The word De is Dutch. It is used the same way as the English use The. And that's probably what caused the misnaming of this building. The guy that made or designed the sign probably saw "De Havilland", assumed someone made a mistake and amended it to "The Havilland" since that is gramatically correct English.
