    • It only took me a few hours. Haha. Laos was one of the last places on my list to sift through.

OK. This is probably going to be easy compared to that last one, but here goes anyway.

It has 30-45 airlines that serve it and its on an island. Not too specific. Probably not specific enough.

      I'll add it's a popular tourist destination.

                • It has one asphalt runway that's about 10,000 feet and between 10-20 feet above sea level.

                  • Larnaca, Cyprus.

                    • I enjoy that your trying, but sorry to say your wrong. Larnaca does meet some of the guidelines except that its airport is not named after a war hero. And it does not meet these 2 new hints. And Cyprus is about 9,000 square kilometers in size. Also, Cyprus has less people than the place I'm hinting at.

It's the third busiest airport in the country its located. The permanent population of this island is 3-4 million.

                      Other before mentioned hints:

On an island that's a popular tourist destination.
The airport is named after a war hero.

                      • One of the Greek Islands perhaps ? Rhodes

                        • No. Good guess though.
Guidelines it meets: Runway specifications and elevation and the number of airlines that serve it. Popular tourist place.

Does Not Meet: Population, only 117,000 people live on Rhodes. Area: It's only 1,400 Square Kilometers. Not named after a war hero.

Thus, I shall tack another hint. 93% of the population is Hindu. I'll also say the war hero is not a household name, in fact I don't even remember his name off the top of my head, he has a name that doesn't just roll of the tongue.
