    (at Pearl Harbor)

    • Nope. It has a fair bit of development and extension projected. Could also be described as a holiday destination.
If it 'ain't broken........ Don't try to mend it !

      • Vagar Airport at the Faroe Islands

They want to extend the RW to about 1800 meters and build a new terminal. The present RW is 1250M. Only 1 airline serves it but it serves many routes. And apparently it does have a tourism industry also.

This was only the 2nd or 3rd airport that came to mind to check.

          No.

Has a connection with the movies.

          • Ever so sorry folks, I made a cock-up. Runway length is over 3000 metres.

The movies ? Think "flying penguins" to give the name of the island.

Well done. Thought the "Flying penguins" comment might raise a smile. Your turn.

Not Sayun. It's in North America.

                          • No.

The hint I gave earlier does not hint at the name of the airport, but rather what it is most famous for.

In that case, I'll take Denver Int. (KDEN)

Aaaah, the penny dropped! It's yours.

The explanation of my hint: Head for the mountains, don't trust the masonry!

Head for the mountains: Denver is located at the foot of the Rocky mountains. Also, the terminal building is supposed to represent the mountains (though I always thought they looked more like Indian tents).
don't trust the masonry: The masonry does not refer to the building material. Instead, it refers to the free-masons. This airport has a lot of symbols and references to the free-masons.

If you got some time to spare, type Denver Airport Conspiracy or something similar in Google and be amazed at the stuff tin-foil hat people can come up with.
