    • I'm tempted with Berlin Schonefeld...but there's too many airlines going further afield ?

Another alternative could be Murcia San Javier ?

      • I thought about Berlin as well, but there's quite a lot of international traffic there still..

        • Hmmmmm .......... color mismatch ?

          Purple by any chance ?

          • Wrong direction for both. Btw, if I would try to fly to this airport, perhaps I could see Plymouth UK.

Color mismatch: somehow airline and livery do not match.

The airport is also known for the fact, that you can get there by a red bus.

                • Galway, Southern Ireland ? Bit of a stab in the dark though as its already closed.

                  • I would fly back again, so ... "nope!".

                    Next hints before I leave:
                    - the homecarrier has a fleet of jet, props and above all helicopters.
                    - One reason to fly to this region is for sure the chance to see a special light show

and again, now that I mention the homecarrier: "somehow airline and livery do not match."

                    Have fun!

                    • Kangerlussuaq Airport,Greenland.

Air Greenland is the only airline I can find that operates jets, props and helicopters and has access to the Northern Lights (the light show that you mention). You could also possibly fly near to Plymouth UK to get here from Copenhagen, the only international flight. Kangerlussuaq Airport is due for closure and is to be replaced by three strips elsewhere. The US Air Force fly here to service research stations on the Greenland ice sheet..... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kangerl...d_destinations

                      Colour mismatch ? Air GREENland...coloured red ?

.....and I like the idea of a self service bar in the terminal !

                      • Correct! Even the hints to northern lights and the color mismatch. I would perhaps see Plymouth on my way, as the direct path from ZRH is almost over Plymouth as per Great Circle map.

                        Next please!

... and now I can safely go skiing

                        • If God had meant us to go skiing....

....He would have given us 40" feet !!

Have a good time, just don't get an unexpected ride in a rescue helicopter....they're very close to being small props !!!

                          • No scheduled flights to/from here but, if you are rich enough and have a "day" to spare you might be flying to/from this place during the month of June.

                            • I was so close on that one.

Anyway, next one: Blackbushe airport? The day out for the rich are the Royal Ascot horse races?
