    • I'm all googled out now and a little confused. Is this a European airport ?

      • Yes. They made a movie about the exploits in this area that were critical to WWII. Could have been a turning point for the worst.

Also associated with a snow sport.

          • That's it!

Telemark is as ski technique where you use a free-heel binding and fully bend a knee to turn. English reference was to the first slalom races; they were done by Brits on Holiday in the Alps.

            • With a runway just a squeak over 7,000 feet this airports name, if you were to use the word descriptively to a Greek, would probably earn you a smack in the mouth from him !!
Very popular with visitors from a nearby country who require medical care.

                  • Malacca International Airport?

                    • Malacca ? Yup, that's the one.

For those who don't know it, Malacca is the Greek word for "wanker" ....... hence the smack in the mouth reference !!!!

                      Over to you.

                      • Hmmm lets see...

I am located on an Island and my sole runway is just over 6200 feet long.

I am quite popular in the summer months, however in the winter i am only serviced by 2 local airlines, one of which is the name of the sea i'm located at.

Serviced outside of season by Aegean Airlines and Olympic Airways.

                            • There aren't that many airlines named after a sea. From there it was just a case of searching the Greek Islands.

Have another go please. It's time we had some fresh blood here.

Some even say that he keeps folded an Icarus like set of wings neath' his oil-skin coat when he travels or that he is the bar sinister offspring of Amelia Earhart.
