    • ok...here is the next one(hopefully i can make this harder):

I have 3 parallel runways all of different lengths.

In 2009 i was the 4th busiest airport in the country of where i'm located.

      Think similar to "Money City".

      • I want to say Denver's Stapleton since they had parallel runways and the "D" on much currency would qualify it as "money city" since it had a mint for coins. But it's been closed now for how long? Sigh, it was also my first flight in a real airplane, a Boeing 707.

        • Nope..wrong country. Think a lot further South West from the USA.

There is a major international airport not far from this airport.

Home to many executive jets and helicopters.

The aviation museum located here opened in 1994.

              • The trick is to not let your clues be exactly searchable by the text that you use. Make the "contestant" use their own words to search.

Once you told us that the aviation museum opened in 1994 it made the search easy. Using "aviation museum opened 1994" as search words the answer comes up on the second page, especially when you also told us that there was a major International airport nearby.

The 3 parallel runways clue was the best one to stick with for a while tied in with the 4th busiest clue.

                Have another go on me.....

p.s. Search using "aviation museum opened 1994 4th busiest 3 parallel runways". The subsequent result will illustrate what I mean about writing a clue.

                • No takers so I'll have another go. A bit of JP forum searching will help you here !

In October 2012 I will be fairly close to this place where a large chunk of my national heritage lies nearby, although I'll be in a neighbouring state ?

You'll be in Nevada, which lies next to California.

                    • Right line of thinking....

....wrong state. Not California therefore not Long Beach.

although, in a way, water is involved here.

London Bridge moved there in the 70's by a bit of a nut?

That's the one. The nut you refer to thought he was buying Tower Bridge and the sellers were supposedly a bit sparing with the truth. That is how rumour has it anyway.

                              • "Over there, over there" ... your side of the pond since that is one of the frequent questions, I'll dispatch with it early.

This strip has two runways and is serviced by many carriers. Opened in 1975, it's namesake has probably touched many a life in the aviation community though sadly, he never had the pleasure of taking to the sky from it.
