  • Idle Reverse

I thought idle reverse meant just deploying the buckets/sliding (cascade) reversers and leaving the throttles alone, but I've seen several times in videos when the pilot/first officer calls "idle reverse" the PIC pulls back a little on the thrust reverse levers. So even for idle reverse do you have to pull back a little on those levers?

Well, the buckets (or cascades) won't deploy if you don't pull back a little. It's just that you'd only pull to the unlocked position and no further.
