    Photoshop CS6

    Open and crop image
    resize to 1600
    recrop to permitted size and centre
    zoom in and run neat image
    run auto tone/auto contrast/auto colour
    Run shadow/highlight
    adjust exposure...

    Cropping out dead space narrows the image. what's wrong with showing an aircraft in it's surroundings.?

    why not depict one.? My image would not take more sharpening hence the reason for not doing it.

    Extra sharping leads to 'whitening' around letters, I'm not prepared to do that.

    I heard the Kenko Pro 300 series of TC's are just as good
    as Canon's, plus they retain AF on some lenses where Canon TC's fail...anyone?

    The Canon 75-300mm 4.5-5.6 USM III is a good starter lens but you will no doubt be thirsting for L glass in due time... :D

    Will you be affecting by Italian import taxes etc.?

    Importing in the UK can add some 21% to USA prices.. :shock:
