Well. This is another rather useless attempt of mine to not look at the nasty side of the planet. Things fall off of trees (wood) and things fall off of rather not so old 737 max jets (windows, and.. things). But as already Monty Python said, with John Cleese (?!), Always look on the bright side of life.
So. I thought why not for the first time in the new year have a look at my avatar. All these 747 photos are from last year, 2023, when the weather was a little bit better than today. Pls,
fasten your seatbelts. And enjoy the flight.

Virgin Atlantic flight 162/06Jul MCOBFS The 747-400 flight scheduled to at 1815 was delayed almost an hour due to local thunderstorms. There was even a great chance the inbound flight from Glasgow was going to divert to Miami however it made it in as afternoon thunderstorms cleared in Orlando. The flight was booked to about 75% full. On this trip I was flying in Premium Economy and the cabin was about half full. The video shows boarding in Orlando and getting settled in Premium Economy prior to take off. During taxi out you'll see the busy Orlando Terminal and a full International Concourse on the 80's and 90's gates a portion of the safety video. On Friday's in the summer you'll see up to 5 Virgin Atlantic 747's among other aircraft flying to Europe, Brazil, South America and Central America from Orlando. Due to the thunderstorms, there was a backlog of activity at Orlando International Airport. During taxi out I was able to capture the flight deck announcement over the PA system whic...

Airworthy 747-400 models
Some websites are really worth a visit, plus a separate topic here at JP, because it just took me almost 15 minutes to find back to this craze German guy.
This is the herpa 1:500 topic, continued, for adults.
Here it is. The 747 for your living room. What did I say, 70,60 meters : 16 = 4,4125 meters long? LOL!

Scale 1:16. For Adults, as I mentioned. The MTOW probably is the only thing which he didn't build in 1:16..
24,8125 metric tons? No. But nevertheless, very impressive, even for me.
PS: As I said, the EDDL 23L temporarily should be free. Use the CT frequency for 150750Z. Harr....
