Embraer to name its Indian operator soon
The Brazilian small aircraft manufacturer Embraer expects to make an announcement for a new operator of its aircraft in the Indian market soon. “(The name of the operator is) still undisclosed but very soon we should be able to announce the new operators of the 50-seater aircraft in India. Some of them (airlines ordering Embraer aircraft) are existing, some of them could be new players,” Cesar Pereira, Vice-President, Asia Pacific, Embraer Commercial Aviation, told BusinessLine on the sidelines of the recently-concluded Dubai air show. Pointing out that the regional air connectivity scheme of the government is important for the development of regional aviation in the country, Pereira felt that this will create “great opportunity” for Embraer as it makes 70- to 130-seater aircraft which could be used in regional markets to connect to small cities. Earlier this month, IndiGo took delivery of an ATR 72-600 aircraft, the first of the 50 such planes that it plans to induct to participate i...

Embraer 195
I just failed to ask the jetphotos database for photos of an Embraer E195. So, why did I fail? Am I too stupid (which btw would be the easiest answer)?
And I can show evidence that I haven't just invented something. Look at this:
https://www.revell.de/produkte/model.../id/04884.html
EN-E195. Should be part of the jetphotos database, shouldn't it. So, all you MUC spotters... You have a task.
PS: Btw, sometimes I am also too stupid to hit the "unlink" button for only 1 line. During 3 or 4 attempts, I just tried to only unlink the line which begins with "EN-E195". And the result now is correct. Ok, I never tried to understand that...
Computers... This is normal. I am happy that wikipedia knows the difference between E190 and E195 ... Wow.

Takeoff data for Embraer jets
Hey everybody,
Once again I hope this is the right part of the forum to post this.
I do a lot of flightsimming (FS9) and I'm considering adding Embraer aircraft, both the ERJ family as well as the bigger E-Jets (170-195) to my fleet. In order to make my flying more realistic, I would like to calculate the takeoff speeds. Does anybody know where I can get charts for takeoff and landing speed (V1/Vref/V2/VA/Vr) calculation for the Embraer aircraft? I'd really appreciate any help I can get in that matter.
Thanks a lot,
Peter

Air Canada to transfer ERJ-175s to Sky Reigonal...
I wonder what will be their ultimate disposition, long term. I hope to see them flying for AC for years to come, but I guess that their reliability has been an issue? Or, is it all about costs and shedding pilots?...

Alitalia drops Sukhoi due to delays and orders from Embraer!
Well, harsh news for Sukhoi. It would have been a big help to them to see these aircraft being well recieved in Europe. Well, maybe heavy discounts could save them?...

Embraer 135 skids off end of runway
An SA Airlink Embraer 135 regional jet (registration ZS SJX) has reportedly "aquaplaned" off the end of the runway and onto the national highway at George airport (GRJ).
The photo currently on the News24 homepage shows the nose of the plane resting on the road surface, and the tail on the airport fence.
Thankfully no injuries reported. Unfortunately this is just another one of many recent incidents involving SA Airlink's regional service...
