Emirates A380 FIRST Visit A6-EVN London Stansted & Skytraders Australia A319
Filmed at London Stansted Airport, this video captures the first arrival and departure of Emirates Airbus A380 A6-EVN. This is the first time Emirates had operated a planned flight to Stansted using the A380. It had been chartered to transport Arsenal Football club to the USA for a game, but this was cancelled as a result of Covid. So the A380 flew back to Dubai the next day. There have only been a handful of A380's to landing and depart from Stansted, including British Airways on proving flights, HiFly operated a number of charters before they withdrew the aircraft from service. An Emirates A380 did an unplanned divert a few years ago due to conditions at another UK airport. Also included is a Skytraders Australia Airbus A319, again another rare visitor

Very well done by the airline. I guess EK decided that it didn't want all of the spotters' attention at CDG to go to AirFrance. Anyway, hopefully we can get some great shots soon, and how EK continues to do it (profit wise) is beyond me!... -
Emirates will fly into Colombia
The Deputy Minister of Foreign Trade & Tourism of Colombia, Óscar Rueda, made it officially on Thursday April 16 that after years of speculation, Emirates will start flying to Bogotá by the end of 2009 as its second South American destination after Sao Paulo. The decision comes after the recent Arab-South American Business Forum held at Doha in March, and was ratified by Sheik Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktum himself, president of Dubai’s Department of Civil Aviation and Chairman of the Emirates Group, who gathered with Colombia’s Minister of Trade, Luis Guillermo Plata. Mustafa Badawy Orrantia, commercial director of the Colombia-United Arab Emirates and GCC Chamber of Commerce, said back then that it was a priority for the UAE to “improve and increase trade relations with Colombia”, as it was proposed then that Qatar Airways was to be eligible too for a direct route between the Middle East and Bogotá. “We want to invite tourists to Colombia and I’m sure tourists from Colombia would also want... -
