So, I recently went to my local airport, Albany Harry Rigs in WA, and took these photos using my Lumix DMC-FZ10. (I got it as a gift to start my hobby)

I would like some tips on how to edit these to be accepted. I have done some basic editing on the second one and got here but I realised I need some tips.


I also have put in other photos, but they have been rejected without a reason. (I have attached them)

A couple days ago I uploaded my first set of pictures after reading the guidelines and picking out some pictures of which I thought they might have any change of passing the screening (some more than others to be honest). Today however I got an email saying the following:

"Dear JetPhotos contributor,

The quality of your recent batch of photos made us decide to reject all photos you have in our queue.
Unfortunately none of those photos meet our standards.
We suggest you to read our upload guidelines, and when you believe you are able to meet our criteria, try again with a maximum of one or two photos at a time.
We thank you for your effort and are looking forward to see you again in the future, when you have managed to improve the quality of your photos."

I now don't know which standards of JetPhotos I missed however I have to improve the quality. So it could be the bad quality category however...

As the title suggests, I just got a camera that can shoot in 2304 and 1280. Specifically 2304, 1600, 1280, 640, and 1920. Should I take it in the correct size for uploading, 1280, or a higher one? What would be the best in the end?

For editing photos I have Lightroom for iPad (Free) so if I do shoot in a higher one will it compress/resize ok?

The camera is the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ10 from 2003, I got it as a gift from someone who wants to support my plane spotting photography adventure as I am a beginner.

A bunch of my photos got rejected from my queue without them telling me why? What could make these a bit better and get them accepted!

I am very confused and a bit annoyed. I am just getting started with plane spotting and photography and am only using an iPhone 12 camera. All photos are edited in GIMP and/or the iOS Photos app.
If anyone has any tips or info, please let me know!

Howdy, I will keep this simple.

I've been really discouraged lately, a lot of my photos have been rejected, and it's always for something different. My photo editing skills are limited, I just like taking photos. Here is an example of an attempted edit:

To me it looks really bright, but it was rejected only for it being oversharpened(?). I edited it this way as my photos were being rejected for not enough saturation and too low brightness. I guess I got those right on this image, but even if I didn't edit the sharpness at all it was rejected for the sharpness anyway? My appeal was denied with the note that the way I downscaled the image created an effect similar to oversharpening. I don't have photoshop or lightroom or anything like that, and I shoot in 4k. Downscaling to 1280 width is obviously a problem here, I just don't know what I am supoposed to do. I've tried many services(Pixlr,...

Hello! I have a picture of a Boeing-Stearman that I’m trying to upload. I found out it’s a new registration and was filling out the information. My issue is that I cannot seem to figure out how to list the “airline operator” as private. I have it listed as general aviation. It’s owned by an individual and I don’t know where the “private” option is. Thank you so much for y’all’s time....

Recently, I have been submitting lots of photos and getting many of them rejected for just one reason: Too much or too little contrast. Upon reading a thread in the forum, I know now that 99 percent of the time, it is too little contrast, but I still would like to know about some things to look for when editing contrast. Could someone give me tips for editing to get a good amount of contrast?
