Wings Abadi Air to retire last MD-82 on September 27th, 2012
There are unconfirmed reports that the last MD-82 of Wings Abadi Air (subsidiary of Lion Air) will be retired on September 27th, 2012 after a flight from Ujung Pandang to Surabaya. Several sources claimed in spring 2012 thatWings Abadi Air operates a small fleet of four MD-82s and one MD-83 with plans to retire the type later that year.

Lion Air retires MD-90
One current (but yet unconfirmed) headline claims that Lion Air retired their last MD-90 today. The Indonesian company operated a total of five MD-90s. Two of the aircraft were stored after incidents damaged these aircraft.
