I have submitted many photos to the Jetphotos queue but they have always been rejected for some reason. I am just now finding out I can upload them here prior to screening. Any info/tips would be highly appreciated. Thanks!...

The reason I joined this forum has to do with a blog I wrote for my company about plane spotters using big astronomical telescopes equipped with Powermate image amplifiers and DSLR cameras. They basically end up with a ultra-telephoto lens system of 2,000-mm to 2,4000-mm at f/10. With the wonders of modern digital ISO they can shoot at 1/1000s while pushing the scopes around the sky.


The only spotters I can find using this setup are in Poland. I couldn’t find any English language spotting forum discussing this technique. (I did find one forum where someone said astronomical scopes are not used for imaging planes). So, if you care, you can read the post here through this shortened link:

Let me know if this type of photography is "news" to the wider spotter community. It's got me interested in trying it myself!...

Im at a loss. This photo was rejected for the following: Dark/ Underexposed - But you can see every detail clear as day (not to mention the clear sunlight in the background) Undersharpened (soft) - This photo is supposed to be undersharpened, but you can clearly read "Phenom 100" on the front of the aircraft below the windscreen. I would imagine that an undersharpened photo would be difficult to read something of that size..... Backlit - Its backlit by the sun.....not quite sure what that means, but i cannot move the sun...it tends to photo bomb photos lol. Horizon unlevel - earth is round, fellas. Need i say more? All of my agitation aside, how the heck can i fix this photo to look how Jetphotos would like it to look? If i over sharpen it, the quality WILL go down and it will look VERY pixely. If I brighten it, there will be a white haze over the photo. I could replace the background with a solid color if that makes them happy, but the other things have me at a loss. As a line tech/...

They said that it has been rejected for poor quality, but the photo has been shoot in RAW and it's 8,5 MB large... ...

Hi,

Had this rejection of horizon unlevel, but when you look at the yellow things, it is at horizon level in my eyes.
