UA has big plans for IAH!
So, I am not too familiar with CO's (now, UA) operation at IAH. Does CO not have it's own terminal at it's hub? Anyway, I hope that the deal goes through, and that it goes well.
On a related issue; how as UA been working out of IAH? Have we seen any major issues in the hand-over thus far? Has anyone noticed hiccups in the system as a whole?...

United A320 New Orleans

United Airways A320 (N409UA), smoke in cockpit, lost all all electronics during climb out from New Orleans.
Returned to New Orleans within 10 minutes of departure, but went off runway on landing. Evacuation via slides. Apparently, a number of passengers needed medical attention from smoke inhalation....

UA complains that Australia-USA routes are oversupplied!
If you can't compete, leave. While horrible for UA, and while I am sure that they will likely not leave the market - they do sell an inferior product on the route. They should have well improved their product ahead of the launch of competitors....

Finally, US carriers seeing the potential in Africa. It's great to see that UA is moving ahead with new markets, and that DL is growing well in the reigon. Hopefully, we will see other US carriers following suit!...

UA A320 (Flight 661 LGA-ORD) Evacuated at ORD!
I wonder what the fix will be and/or response from EADS (Airbus) and/or UA. Well done to the crew and staff for such a speedy and serious evacuation. While exagerrated, had this been a real emergency, the reaction would have been as such....
