spotting paine field

  • spotting paine field

    hi

    I am travling to seattle in 2 weeks and was thinking
    of going over to paine filed to do some spotting
    can anyone out there lend some advice if its good to do
    and any places to get good pictures
    also can you see the flight line from the road

    The museum of flights parking lot is decent, and if you go into the museum their little control tower, but the rest is pretty hard to get close to.

      wrong airport burns. he's talking about paine field in everett.
      there are a few good looks at the flight line if you drive east and west on highway 526. it takes you right past the assembly hangar. if the weather is good, the doors might be open so you can catch some good sights. on the southside of paine field, bf goodrich (aka tramco, if its still called that) does maintenance and other work for several carriers and access is fairly good. never know what you'll see when you're at paine field. enjoy your trip.

          If the trafic is pretty much like King's County/Boeing Field in terms of movements and time distribution, don't forget a pair of binauculars to keep attention up.
