I have a Nikon D70 and for the two months I've had it it's been working great for me. But now I'm having a bit of a problem. It seems I have some specks on the sensor which create several small dark spots in the photo. I used the air duster to get the dust off the mirror and in Manual Mode (Bulb shutter speed) to try and blow the dust off the sensor. Some of it came out but the rest won't and there are still a few spots.

Do camera repair shops (or Nikon) do these sorts of repairs/cleanings?

Edit: And what are some things I can do to prevent this problem from happening again in future?

    Help would be greatly appreciated.

I got the Nikon D100 and I go to Nikon once in a while and let them clean the sencor (they do it for free here in DK) I don't think there is much you can do to prevent dust spots, they allways come back

I see, thanks all for your help. I tried using the air duster on the sensor but it just couldn't get the really small spots out. I'll give Nikon a call soon and see if they can do a cleaning for me.

          Thanks again guys!
