All Canada Express as well (sorry if someone mentioned them already :P)

"A plane gets old by being safe" I don't know who said that, but just because it's old doesn't mean it's no good. Pretty much the opposite.

Are Champion & TMA public carriers? As in could I go up to them and buy a ticket or is it private charter flights?- I've always been confused. Thx.

Some TransMerridian flights are scheduled charters and can be booked direct with the airline

Who are they chartered by? Does that mean someone charters the plane, and allows other pax to fly with them so the airline can get more revenue out of the flight?

            Thanks.

              Thanks.
It means that they dont put the money into their bank account untill the flight has gone. Vacation Express have some seats on these flights but thats just like a tour operator having seats on AA or NW I think

I'm sorry- I'm naive with all this- who's putting $ in whose account?

The money is held in trust until the flight when it goes to the airlines bank account. Anyone else expand on this?

Well, they did, but now, Boston-Maine Airways has taken over their 727s, in PA colors, albeit not flying on former PA routes, after screwing the pilots big time.

NOTAR- you can book flights on TMA just like you can on any scheduled airline. Just go to www.iflytma.com. They operate scheduled flights out of SYR, TOL, LAS, SFB, FLL, SJU, etc. We used to get the 727-200s at SYR doing the SYR-SFB, FLL and LAS routes, but they were soon replaced by MD-80s and 757-200s. Don't know which routes the 727s are on right now, though...
Fly Raleigh-Durham International, with direct flights on Air Canada, AirTran, American Airlines, American Eagle, America West, Continental Airlines, Continental Express, Delta Airlines, Delta Connection, jetBlue, Northwest Airlines, Southwest Airlines, United Express and US Airways to:

ATL, AUS, BWI, BOS, CHS, CLT, MDW, ORD, CVG, CLE, DFW, DTW, FLL, BDL, HOU, IND, LAS, LAX, LGW, MEM, MIA, MSP, BNA, EWR, MSY, JFK, LGA, ORF, MCO, PHL, PHX, PIT, STL, SLC, TPA, YYZ, DCA and IAD.

The question was for pax, but as they've been putting freighters, I'll add some also.
