So they replaced the engine mount weights, with engines that aren't ready to be 'fired up'?

I would say they are connected, can't imagine them having attached the engines and not had them ready.

An engine can be changed in 8 hours, I should imagine even if the engines aren't connected up properly that it would take 2/3 days max.

They are ready to go, 8 days is a lot of time to start one to four engines if you ask me.
