      That's no Me109 (Bf109). It's a spanish built Hispano Aviacion HA-1112-M1L Buchon. Like this one [photoid=425170]
They used the 109's airframe and put in a RR Merlin engine. Because a fair amount of these Buchon's still excist they are almost always dressed as an 109.

Take a look here for one of the few original 109's still airworthy.
Cool photos and descriptions by a professional aviation photographer of the Messerschmitt Bf109G fighter display at the Warbirds Over Wanaka airshow in New Zealand.

                  Still it isn't a genuine 109.... Hispano HA.1112-M1L Buchon
                  N109ME. The s/n: 67 indicates also that it's not a 109. 109's had bigger s/n's (werk nr.)
You see the differance clearly. Because the Buchon flies with a RR merlin engine. Just search N109ME on google, 9 out of 10 says its a Buchon.

Don't know why it's registered as an 109, I think for the historical aspect. It's much more intresting for the CAF to have a 109 than a Buchon.

And last but not least check here... http://www.contrails.us/~oklahoma_wi...ly/page_01.htm
