  • Tokyo Narita closed briefly after 6.1 Quake

HongKong media reports that after a magnitude 6.1 Quake occurred in Chiba prefecture (which is east of Tokyo and is where Tokyo NRT is located actually) at 0722 local time (1922 EDT, i.e. 2hrs ago), the airport's 2 runways were closed for a while for inspection. The airport has been reopened since then.

Good to hear there were no serious injuries nor damages. Although I wouldn't mind if that stupid birdfarm that blocks the new runway from being extended got destroyed .

6.1 is a pretty good jolt but I called my mom and she said she didn't feel the quake.
