    hi,

im wondering (on an international flight) how ahead of the passengers the pilots arrive in the flight deck to prepaer. Just curious?

Flight deck or gate? Sometimes a/c isn't there until later.

Usually in the ballpark of 2 hours...depends on airline.

Usually it's 45-60 minutes before ETD.

All the pilots on my SAS flights, arrived after most passangers were seated.

Check-in at Air Canada is 60 minutes prior to the ETD (estimated time of departure).

My brother, a Captain for American Airlines, said that it's usually two hours before departure.

The pilots can arrive earlier. They have to be there at least 1H00 prior to posted dep.

This is not international really, but we flew FLL-NAS on American Eagle last summer. After a 30 minute delay and we were all seated, the pilot comes on carrying take-out food in a plastic bag!

Not after a delay when they're making a 45 minute hop they don't!
