Southwest 737 off the runway at Chicago Midway

All flights headed to MDW were told to turn around back to the cities they left from. or just simply cancel future flights, only one i know of diverted to STL SWA MHT-MDW diverted to STL.

Durring the accident I looked at www.flightarrivals.com and somewhere between 5-10 aircraft were derverted. Most were WN flights, one went to Nashville, and an LAX-MDW flight was diverted too. I can't remember the rest. An AirTran flight was diverted to MSP as well. As for the rest, they just turned around back to the departure airport.

I know MCI absorbed a few diversions as well, including one I know of from DTW.
