two more I'm not quite sure about ... sadly this is not in perfect sunlight so it's a little harder to get a quality picture.

OK, last one here for a while, I promise

I really like this shot, but due to the sun only just being over the horizon it's quite soft. Is it too soft? Fixable?

also, is snow ontop of a parked plane OK?

If these are not edited, there's no point in any pre-screening.

    Hi everybody.

I've done this shot in a very bad weather condition but i like it very much.
From that position, a 343 is very scary.
I would like to upload but i don't know if it's ok. Can you help me and tell me if there is something wrong?

    Thank you.
    King regards.
    Claudio

    Claudio,

It looks like conditions were not ideal. Did you use noise reduction software like Neat Image or Noise Ninja?

    Hi Guys,

I got some previous rejections due soft and have made some corrections - just need to know if I have "over cooked" them with sharpening or have introduced too much grain or colour shift because of having to apply extra post processing ......

Please have a look and give me your learned opinions

    Thanks in advance ....

yes, i've used noise ninja. I think that the problem is due to the very foggy day.

The idea is to ask BEFORE you upload them. Now that they are in the queue, it would look like some preferential treatment.

    Claudio,

The image has the appearance of having had noise reduction treatment and I wanted to know for sure before I made further comment.

For me the fact that it shows the loss of sharpness that goes with using noise reduction kills the shot.
I would be more inclined to accept it if you leave out the noise reduction. It is a dramatic picture taken in fog which means it will appear to be noisy but the screeners are aware that fog has this effect and will take that into account. Given that this is an interesting picture and not just another poorly lit, low cotrast, side on image of a common aitcraft that we see so often in the queue at this time of year I think that your image has a chance of being accepted if you re-edit it.

OK ... I have now deleted ALL the queued photos, created a Flickr account, reuploaded the photos to the Flickr account and below are the weblinks.

I would appreciate if you could now pass judgement on these photos .....

By the way, my Flickr photos seem to max out at 1024x768 and some of these photos are 1200, 1400 or even a 1600. Can someone give me a reasonable explanation how a proper determination on the quality of a photo can be achieved if it is viewed as a downsized photo when being critiqued.

Thanks in advance again - (no preferential treatment required - just some reasonable help with QAing photos)
