If you check the database, you will find c/n 2054 is owned by 'Greece- Air Force', so: mil.

I am afraid it is. The letters on the white part on the top of the fuselage are washed out.

    • Any chance in saving it?

      • That really depends on the original photo. If the original is already overexposed, it is unlikely. If the overexposure is done by post processing, it possibly can.

            • Can I get some pre-screening on this night time panning image:

Settings were ISO12800, 1/4sec at F/4.0. I didn't adjust the white balance yet - but will if the rest is acceptable.

It was taken in complete darkness (9:15pm) - and surprised me that I even got a half-decent shot that wasn't hugely blurry. That's as bright as it can go I'm afraid. My skills don't extend any further than that. I only managed to photograph it at night.

I might also grab some feedback on the crop of this image:

Motive was to get the 747 cropped close with the engines, and the A380 (minus engines) and A330-200 in the image too.

              • Jan-
1- overexposed, soft, noise/grain and compression
                2- overexposed, soft, bad composition/centering
3- soft, overexposed, lack of contrast

                Chris-
1- probably borderline for me. If you can get rid of the visible noise/grain it's a chance. If not, it's still a cracking shot for your personal collection!
2- while I understand the motive, the execution and cropping don't really work. If it was rolling on 16R it would've worked better.

                • Thanks - I'll try a bit more specialised noise reduction on the AN-124 and see what I can achieve.

No worries regarding the other one, I do have one shot like you've mentioned.

                  • Chris 1st one works for me, especially considering the time of night.

I also have serious doubts about the info. Am I supposed to have USAF as the airline? or Private? or the owner? because a quick Googling revealed that this airplane is owned by Guidance Helicopters (which is available in the select airline menus)

                        • This may have gotten lost...
Is the fuselage too blown-out on this or is it fine? Is it also centered correctly?

                          • Ryan-
Centering and exposure are acceptable for me.

                            • Felipe,
please select civilian Genre - Guidance Helicopter if available and don't forget the Warbird/vintage category.
                              cheers
