  • Dirty Scan / CMOS Dust spots

    Hi,

What is the best way to see with a cloudy grey day as background. I had a rejection on a few photos taken on a rainy day possibly water spot...you can barely see that theirs spots but their there...

    Thanks
    Robert

You can usually see them if you tilt your screen slightly. An easier way is opening them in PhotoShop and equalizing the shot via Image > Adjustments > Equalize.

I use Photoshop Element 5.0 and I found it under Filter-Ajustement-Equalise
Is that what the screener use to check our photos?
      Thanks

No, we have different tools we use when screening, we don't use PS.

The screen tilt does work, thats usually how I do a final check.

Which filter do you guys use? (the same one that is shown under each pic to view for dust). Thanks

In Photoshop use the "equalise" function - Image>Adjustments>equalise.
