  • Breathing new life into an old kit: *COMPLETED*, Look!!

    Greetings all!

It's been a long time coming, but the "Piedmont Pacemaker" display is finally complete and on my shelf! Took a stab wound to the leg and got a new grandchild in the process, so this build will always harbor memories, for me.

The "blurring" of the runway numbers makes a unique and intersting display method for any kit, and adds an air of "movement" to the whole thing. Below is the technique I made up to accomplish this affect:

Thanks for all the kind words and support during this build. It has honed some techniques I've always been curious about trying, and encourages me to go after some of the kits I've put off building up to now.

    Take care,
    Frank

Alright, love the way you illustrate how it's done. Love the tecnique you're using.

        Congrats for accomplishing another model.

Thanks for sharing, Btw will you be selling these models you create, or do you keep them ? Just curious

Just don't sell it to pat, he's pretty anal about his models. Great model though! I love the runway stand.

I allready have that one, along with LOT EMB-170 and EuroLOT ATR-72. I also have three display models of LOT 734, and pretty much anything you can get from LOT (from keychains, plastic baggage tags to Wall World Map and 2x2m posters).
