Heh don't worry Dan, I'm sure another one of these threads will be along in about 2 weeks again.

I think my favorite aircraft changes every week. Right now I'm thinking the Piaggio Avanti. It has speed, efficiency, and it's out of the ordinary. I know for me any aircraft is enough for me to stop and watch, but the Piaggio is like a supercar, you just don't see them that often and it's a special treat when you do. And the sound of those backwards facing PT-6's is just.. AWESOME.
I could go on and on though. It's really hard to have a favorite aircraft. There's so many that I love but I'm sure they all have their shortcomings.

              Favorite aircrafts

Regarding my experience I liked so much the Islander, the Dash-8, the Bae 146/Avro RJ and the B757 because they are versatile aircraft capable of landing on short runways.

Thats an easy one, the Boeing 757!

Purely because of the sound it makes at takeoff!
                  Lets fly away!!!!

Apologies to the rest of thr forum but I have to ask.

What is so special about a 747 with a unique name?

I too love the 747 but I can't say I have any one of the 25 or so that I have rather intimate knowledge that I like best.

I can say, the -200 is better than the -100 and the -400 better yet but you have singled out a specific tail number aircraft.

To make matters worse, you claim to be a UAL fan but select a QANTAS operated aircraft?
