Wouldn't any of the caribbean islands or Netherlands Antilles be better than GEO maybe?
PY flies to TNCM (I think that's it) a lot, why not there....Or TNCC :-/
Confusing

They do fly to TNCC but not TNCM which is a pity. But like I said Insel Air and DAE would be a big obstacle because its already their hub. By the way I do hope they order two 738's instead of the 700, the 700 is too small and a 900ER would be slightly too big plus the range. 2 or 3 738's would do just fine.

I think what PY needs to focus on perhap, is flying non stop to the usa perhaps....and then expand from there on. I know this has to do with the airport not qualifying with the FAA regs. on security.
Perhaps they're choosing GEO because they do?
Delta flies direct from NYC to Guyana (I assume GEO)....So obviously that airport can do it. Why can't SMJP....
But besides expanding to the U.S. Why not expand more in Europe. In the past, PY has flown to Multiple countries in Europe...
Few latest developments apparently;
the MD82 PY flies will be returned (Where?) sometime in the beginning of next week (Week of May 11th) So this is its last week. They will use Miami Air/Falcon air xpress? (maybe both, as far as I know) for charters.
Guess the 733 sitting in Sfla better get painted quick!
I wish some SLM pilots could post on here to shed some light on all of this.

Believe me, the 733 is almost done. It will enter service within 2 weeks.
Any new word on when the next one is supposed to join ship?
No ... It is supposed to be delivered by the end of May or the beginning of July. Its regs. is going to be PZ-TCN, that's all I know plus Cayenne is going to be served again.

YES! I knew that it was only a matter of time (and aircraft) that would return the airline to Cayenne. I have spoken with the GM in charge of Suriname Airways' ops at POS and he explained that the aircraft are going to be utilisized to their maxims. I can't wait for the new aircraft to arrive!

When new aircraft start to fly? Is it yet in Florida?
Yes but they are not rumors. GEO, KIN, Manaus, BGI....JFK is a rumor though.
Do you have any idea how many times a day/week those places might be serviced by Suriname Air.
PY was talking about getting 3 airplanes in total.
So, we might see a lot more destinations on the horizon!
I think the MD is getting retired (returned really) today.
