Now that we have established that this is not a Piper Cub, let`s see what suggestions the nose may elicit:

Yes, and no, Brian. I am pretty sure those categories did not exist in 1931 when this aircraft came about. It is a two seater (tandem), lightweight, has a pusher propeller and a parasol wing - so in contemporary parliance it would be a microlight I suppose. The engine was all of 25hp, and gave an endurance of 1hr pr. gallon of gasoline. The aircraft is American.

Sorry, no. This one hails from Nebraska.

Here`s the tail, or what I have of it - I can only find one picture of this aircraft online.

Sigh...I'm all Googled out. I surrender. I believe this may be the first time in the history of this thread that someone beat us.

I seem to remember an Israeli aircraft that you had to unveil yourself, Brian.

But anyway, behold the Lincoln Playboy:

I guess this makes for an open house?

Oh, I`ve got a few more doozies in my so-obscure-no-one-would-ever-imagine-an-aircraft-looking-like-this folder.... But this is not one of those...

    Here`s the cockpit:

Maybe a few textual hints too:

The aircraft in question was only built in a grand total of 1 example. And even that example was a 7/10th R&D aircraft. But it did fly. It is from the early seventies, and it is British. Or maybe I should say was, to the best of my knowledge it was scrapped.
