Qantas buys 22.5% ANZ, proposal with SQ alliance

Qantas has announced on monday that it has reached a deal with Air New Zealand that the former will take 22.5% stake of the latter airline.

Air New Zealand's brand and service will be retained.

The new Qantas/ANZ cooperation has came up with a proposal of possibilities of SQ/QF/NZ alliance.

Speaking of ANZ and QF, I understand they both fly LAX-JFK. This is connecting traffic only, no local traffic. Does anyone know how full those flights are? Also, will we see one of these carriers at DFW anytime soon?
