My below photo got rejected for having too much contrast and not being level. I checked the photo several twice and the contrast isn't bad while the horizon in the background is levelled correctly. I used the line where the ramp ends in the background as reference.

I appealed the photo and got an answer that the photo lacked shadows!?! The photo also needed CCW rotation?

One look at the histogram will show how much dark tone is missing. This pic shows the centre third modified by adjusting the dark tone end of the histogram and setting the midtones to a value of 0.94. It takes away the "washed out" look. It also needs some CCW rotation as it looks like it's sitting back at the moment.
