I really hope that won't be around for long. I love the current colors, and think they are a clean and nice representation. These new liveries are starting to remind me of the awkward hybrids of the 90s and early 2000s.
I've heard that this would be only a ''test'' livery and that they would apply the definite livery on an A330-300...But i don't know if this is true. I just know one thing: WHAT A F***ING UGLY PAINTSCHEME
their current livery is so beautiful....i've seen their 757 sometimes here...they used to do some charters by the end of the year...and I don't want to see this one sticking around....

I think the 757s are going soon so that wouldn't be a problem - It'll be interesting to see what aircraft will do the routes the 757s have done over the years!

There's still 3 years to their retirement. As for their replacement, Finnair ordered 5 A321ER's few months ago. The A321ER's will mostly replace the 757's and some routes will be replaced by A330's. There's already been increasing usage of A330 for long-haul leisure flights now that 3 757's have left the fleet.
I mean, where was y'all's outrage when Adria went with pretty much this exact thing?
In my opinion the livery of Adria is different to the mentioned (interim-)Finnair-version.
The Adria-logo is a wonderful one in its own way with a double A (the lower A is being reflected in the Adriatic Sea) and this resulted in a heart-shaped logo at the same time. The typeface used generates a dynamic, soft image and the livery fits very well to nearly each type of aircraft due to its simplicity. Even the door frames are coloured in turquoise - it is instantly visible that the designers took a longer look at Adria Airways and this livery is more than 20 years old and timeless. This is a major advantage - a livery should not look modern, it should look timeless for several reasons but this is only my opinion. The interim-Finnair does not reflect Finland - this version could be advertise icecream, soap etc. and the typeface looks harsh.
The question is: what is the reason that Finnair wants to change a livery that was introduced only ten years ago? Why? The change from the classic livery to the current one was very dramatic but Finnair was able to develop a new image and now they want to change again...
It's a real disappointment; how could an airline country famed throughout the world for design come up with something as bland as this? It's just "bleh"; the current livery was actually very nice and looked smart on all types; it attracted the eye. This just fades into the background - dull and grey.
I wonder what the Finnish media is saying about it; I wouldn't be surprised if public pressure resulted in a change of mind.
