The second image example given by Julian is stretched in the vertical plane and has lost its correct aspect ratio.
    Thanks for your clarification Brian!

I've been trying to upload this one for a while; I thought I'd got all of the dust spots, but evidement sans succes! Merde!

Can you please point them out and I shall have them removed and sent to Devil's island ...

              • Hi! Could you please help me to understand an acceptable level of obstruction when the wheels obstructed by grass. I saw some photos in the JP db when the wheels were slightly obstructed by grass. At the same time I saw several topics on rejection in similar situation. So I try to realise when "acceptable" become "rejected" in case obstruction by grass.
For example what's your opinion about photo like this:

                  Don´t be so disappointed.
I have had a look at your photo and have found some spots, but i think the spot in the middle of the picture is the most visible. It´s possible that some dust spots that i have marked, are compression artefacts.

Still pretty borderline for contrast. Nose is also soft.

Tail is a bit soft, but you might get away with it.

The only one that matters is the one above the wing, as it's the only one visible unequalized.

Generally, anything blocking more than half the wheel will be considered obstruction. Your examples are borderline, as the grass seems to be just about half way up.

Yes, this is overprocessed. Impossible to say how to avoid it without knowing either your complete editing workflow or camera settings, but doubtlessly it's caused by one of the two.

It's caused by my camera as I checked the equalised version of the original pic, there it is also overprocessed. In another forum post, someone said something about how to avoid this due to change the camera settings. I know what to change for the next time I go spotting. I deleted the pic from the queue. Thanks for your help!

                          • In general I am rather conservative regarding 'experiments'. However, this shot I took in Zurich is special with respect to the condensations behind the wings and the shadow of the vertical stabilizer in the clouds. So, is there a chance for this image? Do you have any suggestions to improve it?

I have some photos where I would like an advise. Im not used to upload photos where part of the aircraft is cut out/off. I dont do it because I have trouble cropping the photo when part of the aircraft is missing. However Im trying with some photos I took and I want you guys to check them out. Thank you
