Of course! You want to find something today, you GOOGLE it! Why didn't we think of this...

It is rather amazing how the 777 can withstand being riddled with bullets, make a controlled landing on the high seas and remain intact. As Joe Petroni would say, she's one hell of a plane.

      • Ocean Infinity, the technology company specializing in collecting high resolution seabed data, today confirms that its current search for the wreckage of Malaysian Airlines Flight MH370 is shortly coming to an end.

During the course of its operation, Ocean Infinity searched and collected high quality data from over 112,000 km2 of ocean floor successfully overcoming both challenging conditions and terrain. The total area covered, in a little over 3 months of operational days, is far in excess of the initial 25,000 km2 target and almost the same area as the previous search achieved in 2 ½ years.

Oliver Plunkett, Ocean Infinity’s CEO, said:

“I would firstly like to extend the thoughts of everyone at Ocean Infinity to the families of those who have lost loved ones on MH370. Part of our motivation for renewing the search was to try to provide some answers to those affected. It is therefore with a heavy heart that we end our current search without having achieved that aim.

                  • What I found interesting after a brief review of the report was after them covering manual inputs and system failures then saying "The possibility of intervention by a third party cannot be excluded either." WHAT third party?? The indicated altitude excursions (eg 58,000 to 4,800 in a minute) they say is due to military radar inaccuracies but can this be due to something else?

                    • During the presser the iic said they narrowed the possibilities from 60 to 7 and none of the silly reporters asked what those 7 are!!

In a report on missing Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 released on Monday, investigators said the plane's controls were likely to be deliberately manipulated ...

I had never even heard about this until I Googled her name! Almost a good plot for a Mission Impossible movie.

Without the benefit of the examination of the aircraft wreckage and recorded flight data
information, the investigation was unable to identify any plausible aircraft or systems

filed flight plan route and the subsequent flight path taken by the aircraft. However,
the same lack of evidence precluded the investigation from definitely eliminating that
                              possibility.

                              I call that BS.
