It appears one of the passengers ("the italian") was flying with a stolen passport (e.g. The person on the passenger list wasn't actually on board)

Passport was stolen last year in Thailand.

Read on another forum that the Italian supposedly on the flight is not dead at all but has contacted Police to notify of them he is safe and well. Apparently though he did have Passport stolen a few months before - which obviously begs the question was somebody using it and if so who and why....

Even if it doesn't turn out to be a planted bomb or some other type of Terrorist Act I still feel it must have been a sudden explosion due to a fuel leak or something in the Cargo Hold exploding for some reason because the flight was at or very near Cruise Level and the Crew would usually have time to report an issue if it didn't instantly destroy the A/Craft. The Debris will tell the story when they are found, if they are scattered for Kilometres it will confirm the frame came apart before it hit the water.

Many have speculated about a Pitot failure again but given the high profile of this issue in recent times you would expect the Crew would have at least got a Mayday call out or reported something was amiss in this case.

A 2nd stolen passport is rumored to been used on the flight, of Austrian origin.

Could be interpretated as speculation of this newspaper that the repair of the wing was not done properly as of JAL 123.

Well - BILD is notorious for speculating and being badly informed when it comes to matters of science and technology. Also, if the damage seen on the picture posted had re-occurred, it would not have caused a 777 to spin out of control without the crew having a chance to send out a radio transmission. I am 99,999% certain that any comparison with JAL 123 is total nonsense.

Italy's Foreign Ministry said, the Italian citizen is alive and was not on board of the aircraft other than the passenger manifest suggests, the man called his parents from Thailand.

Austria's Foreign Ministry stated in the afternoon (European time) that the Austrian listed on the passenger manifest was not on board of the aircraft.
